TSI WAS BORN UPON THE 80'S IN PRATO, Italy with Renzo Biagini who bought the historical Florentine manufacturer "Manifattura Toscana Spazzole", specialized since the middle of '900 in the production of brushes, with the big dream of relaunching it.
THE YOUNG MAN ENTHUSIASM AND DETERMINATION in the realization of this business venture, brought about TSI that was established in Montemurlo, in Prato's textile district suburbs, closed to textile manufacturers and to textile machinery builders. This particular site was determinant for the development of the business, especially for its know-how and the founder skills in the realization of customized answers to the specific clients requests.
IT IS SO THAT TSI DURING THE LATER YEARS BECAME a reference point for many Italian leading textile and mechanic-textile firms that specialize in fabric refinement and fabric nobilization.
Beside this, also the intuition of Renzo Biagini for the needs of improving the production processes to strive with the competition, brought the firm to what it is today. In fact, the endeavor of Mr Biagini, since the first years of TSI, was to expand his enterprise from its artisanal production processes into industrial ones, passing from manual machineries to more evolved and technological ones.
THIS "INNOVATIVE" PHILOSOPHY brought the business to recurring investments in the research and development of new production techniques and in the study of new materials for the realization of TSI's own products line.
STILL TODAY, AFTER ABOUT 25 YEARS OF ACTIVITY, part of the enterprise profits are regularly invested to improve and update the business systems and production processes.
Another element that developed TSI in what it is today, it's the value for the human capital. In fact Mr. Biagini, anticipating one of today's most important matters, has always been seeking to create a work atmosphere proper to the diffusion of self learning.
THIS WORK STYLE IS SIGNIFICANT TO ANY ACTIVITY where people plays a fundamental role and it is even more important in a company where the contribution to the realization of the business value goes in the "hands" of people. And people give their best when they feel as integral part of a group and long term project.
TSI collaborators who wanted to be part of this project has been surely gratified for trust in it and many of them are today still with TSI after more then 20 years and having matured such a professionalism they are now considered as fundamental strength points of the business.
TSI during the years hasn't been offering its products only to the textile business, in fact the firm has been striving in various other heterogeneous product areas.
IN THIS WEBSITE YOU CAN FIND DETAILS ABOUT TSI effective production capabilities in each specific section. With the years and the increasing of the business, the local dimension was becoming progressively small to Mr. Biagini ambitions so that, around the end of the 90's with other members of his family he begun a path of development outside the Prato area, strengthening relations in the industrial areas of northern Italy, to broaden their horizons to international markets, both in Europe and beyond.
THIS GROWTH OUTSIDE THE LOCAL BOUNDARIES HAS BEEN PRIMARILY driven by demand for products for the textile sector, in which, to date, TSI is a national and international leader in the manufacture of brushes for textile finishing.
FROM JANUARY 2008 THE FIRM HEADQUARTERS were moved to a new building of 3000 square meters, and over the past two years TSI brought forward projects of international trade by strengthening partnerships with countries / markets in strong economic growth. The challenge for the next decade will be to enhance the penetration of its products in non-textile product areas, yet trying to maintain the leadership position achieved in the finishing of fabrics. It's with these ambitious goals that the two generations in the business team are working together by combining both the knowledge and heritage gained from many years of productive relations with the world and, secondly, the dynamism and initiative needed to address the increasingly global competition that the future TSI will have to face.
